A quick look at Ghana

Still not over the jet lag.

Made it into the states around 5 a.m. this morning, flying all night from Accra, Ghana in West Africa. I spent about a week in Ghana, a good bit of it in transport there and back. We spent a few days in the remote Volta Regional village of Nkwanta, and a couple of days in Accra, the capitol city.

Things move at a different pace in Ghana. It’s a beautiful country with sweet people racked with seemingly insurmountable poverty. I went with a team from our church (Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock) to meet with missionaries in the country and explore possibilities for future mission trips.

The roads in Ghana range from okay to extremely poor. Many are red dirt, some with deep ruts that you would think would swallow most cars. However, we made it through the roads without any major issues. Over the next few weeks, I hope to add photos from the trip to show you some of the things we saw.

It was an eye opening experience, to say the least.
